Michael Persico

Michael Persico, Trombone and Vocals, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in 1980. After moving to Cape Cod, began performing extensively in the Cape Cod and New England area. He became Band Leader for the Mashpee Public Schools, a position he held from 1983 until retiring in 2008. In 1990, he became the first Junior High Band Director to perform “Hail To the Chief” for sitting U.S. President, George H.W. Bush.
Persico has been performing jazz on Cape Cod and New England since 1983, and was a founding member of the popular musical revue “Saint’s Alive”. He has worked with many great jazz musicians, including Lou Colombo, Lee Childs and Dick Johnson, and has performed for several luminaries such as President Bill Clinton and others.
In 2013, he began working with legendary jazz photographer Jack Bradley to help organize the latters collection. Persico sorted, identified and archived over 25,000 negatives that Jack Bradley had taken between 1959 and 2000. The began work together on the Classic Jazz Visions project.
